Literally though… I’m obsessed with big scarves . If it’s big, cozy, warm, fluffy and can double up as a poncho: count me in! I don’t know about you but no matter how much I love the idea of going out in cute dresses and shorts all year round (just kidding, I look ridiculous in a dress) this is not how things are going here in Austria. And this year it seems like we went from an amazingly hot summer straight into winter. My tan has already so faded so much I can’t even make out my tan-lines anymore. And a few days ago, right in the middle of a 1 week rain period, I started to freeze my ass off. I might have mentioned it before but: I can’t stand temperatures below 20 degrees Celsius. Do you know the feeling of barely being able to type on your phone because your fingers are so cold? Well, that’s what’s happening to me right now… and I’m indoors!!! Anyway, back to topic.
I admit, I’m super lazy when it comes to outfits. Give me some casual pants, black or white shoes and a cozy sweater and I’m happy. To not look like the most boring person on earth I usually try to add a little big of accessory. That’s where the scarves come in. I think, these kind of scarves are absolutely perfect. When it’s cold I can use them as scarf. When it’s getting warm I can use them as a blanket to sit on and have a picnic. When I want to look classy I can use them as a poncho. FABULOUS!
On Sunday – aka the first day without rain in over a week – we took the opportunity and went out for a little stroll through the city as a study break. I can’t even tell you how happy and relieved I’ll be once this stupid exam is over. Bye Latin, hello beloved free-time! (Cross your fingers I don’t fail, haha) While walking through the city we found this super cute “white hose – green door” location and decided to take some outfit pictures.
When it comes to the pictures you can literally see me slowly getting more comfortable in front of the camera with every outfit I post on here. Big YAY for self-confidence! Isn’t it funny how a few months ago I was too self-conscious to take a full body shot of myself? I never knew how to pose in front of the camera. I was too busy with thinking that I’ll look awkward or “fat” in the pictures to let myself enjoy the experience. Once I got rid of the bad thoughts I realized that posing was so much fun. Granted, there are still a hella lot of unusable pictures after each shoot. Do real fashion-bloggers and models also have these super ugly pictures of themselves after a shooting or do they take 3 pictures and look fabulous on each??????
What do you think about the outfit? Are you loving poncho-scarves as well?
