One of my new years resolutions for 2015 was “travel more“. Now, almost at the end of the year, I can proudly say that I managed to do quite a lot of traveling this year. So with the year coming to a close and the semester break being just around the corner, I decided that it’s the perfect time to sum up my travels in 2015 and start planning for next year.
2015 in a nutshell:
- February: London, Brighton, Frankfurt, Darmstadt
- April: Venice
- May: Vienna
- June: Roadtrip around Slovenia with stops in Ljubljana, Bled & Kranjska Gora;
- July: Barcelona, Bibione
- September: Vienna
- October: Leogang
- December: Wörthersee (more on that soon)
- ….I might be going to Germany again this year (not sure yet though)
What’s ahead in 2016:
I’m a dreamer – so my plans for 2016 are big ones! I always want more and even though I know that I did quite a lot of traveling this year, I feel like it’s not nearly enough. So here are my plans for next year:
As I’m currently in the middle of planning I can’t tell you too much yet. However, I might be able to go to London again next year. Also there are some family visits in Germany and Vorarlberg on the agenda. In March I want to go to Hamburg for my birthday (but again, nothing fixed yet). And for April we’re currently thinking about doing a roadtrip in a warmer country. Maybe along the gorgeous beaches in Spain or Malta. When I looked around the internet I found this article and naturally now I desperately want to travel to one of these destinations in winter next year. Furthermore I finally want to go on my first long-haul flight and visit another continent again. Oh the wanderlust….
Where have you been to this year? And do you already have travel plans for 2016?
